Software Engineering

Software engineering is the system of applying an engineering discipline to the design, implementation and maintenance of software systems. Technik employs a disciplined and standardized approach to program development, both in its managerial and technical aspects. This disciplined approach for constructing information systems through the use of common methods and techniques helps standardize all aspects of software development from the early stages of system specification through to maintaining the system after its deployment.

Technik engineers use Software methodologies, like the OMG's UML, and other software tools that help model application designs. These tools, methods and techniques are aimed at making software development more systematic. They also enable fallible humans to design, construct and maintain large software products in a reliable and cost effective manner.

Network Engineering

Network Engineering is concerned with the performance optimization of
operational networks. From their modest beginnings some 20 years ago, network systems have grown to become a critical enabling agent in business, industry, government, and defense. Major economic sectors, including energy, transportation, telecommunications, manufacturing, financial services, health care, and education all depend on a vast array of network systems operating on local, national, and global scales. This pervasive societal dependency on networks magnifies the consequences of failure and amplifies the vital importance of ensuring their survivability.

Technik, Inc. plans, builds, and manages computer network infrastructures. Our network engineers define, develop, specify, and recommend principles, techniques, and mechanisms for traffic engineering in the internet. They perform network design, performance monitoring, and fault management for networks, servers, applications, and force generation databases. Our engineers collect operational performance statistics, analyze data, identify potential problems and recommend engineering solutions for identified problems. We conduct network architecture design and implementation options in conformance with specified guidelines; and review and update system and network management Concept of Operations (CONOPS).

Data Management

Data Management involves planning, development, implementation, and administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data. It also involves controlling, protecting, and facilitating access to data in order to provide information consumers with timely access to the data they need. It is a technical function that is responsible for physical database design and for dealing with technical issues, such as security enforcement, database performance, and backup and recovery.

Technik consultants help organize data into meaningful information and provide support in the areas of strategic data planning, data element standardization, information management control, data synchronization, data sharing, and database development. They help realize centralized planning and control within a database system by increasing system effectiveness and improving accuracy and timeliness of data which help derive maximum business benefit. These activities refer to all levels of managing data from computer storage and retrieval, software, standards, data administration, and organizational functions.

Our consultants help manage the physical aspects of the data resource, including development of physical database design, implementing the conceptual data model, ensuring database integrity, reliability, and availability, monitoring performance, implementing security and performing backup and recovery. Our consultants are responsible for developing and maintaining specific organization's data dictionary, and perform operations which involve maintaining, modifying, tuning, and expanding one or more databases.

Help Desk Support

Help Desk generally refers to a call center set up to handle queries about product installation, usage or problems. The term is most often used in the context of computer software and hardware support centers.

Technik’s approach to monitoring services ensures high customer satisfaction. Our root-cause analysis techniques provide insight into immediate and potential problems for speedy solutions, improved reliability and improved efficiency. Technik provides complementary levels of technical support built upon solid support model definitions, processes, technical infrastructure, training and communications. We provide Help Desk Support by phone and/or e-mail, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our professionals’ staffs help desk locations and provide services in many languages. We provide In-person Support-Ranging from basic hardware troubleshooting to special dispatch support.

Technik consultants support software application for tracking problems with hardware and software and their solutions, usually serving "internal" customers. They support centers providing support services to internal or external callers. We operate call centers that handles questions about products. These centers are often referred to as technical support centers for computers/software.
