Synchronization
We work with customers to weigh various connectivity
options against objectives, cost, and business
constraints to establish optimal architectures
for synchronizing enterprise data to mobile devices.
To overcome barriers which exist with today’s
wireless network coverage, we develop solutions
which leverage a constant network connection or
remain fully operable in the absence of network
connectivity. Specifically, our connected solutions
leverage persistent data connectivity via Wireless
LAN (802.11) or Wireless WAN (GSM/GPRS, 1XRTT,
CDMA etc). Our disconnected solutions leverage
strategies whereby we synchronize enterprise data
to the mobile device, enabling full operation
even when network connectivity is not available.
Security
Because Information Workers often deal with sensitive
information, our solutions employ various techniques
for assuring data integrity and privacy. We determine
and recommend appropriate strategies for addressing
security of data resident on the mobile device
as well as security of data as it passes over
the network to the mobile device.
We help our customers sift through complex considerations
and recommend / develop solutions which leverage
Microsoft Products and technologies in conjunction
with third party tools to collectively addressing
capabilities such as biometrics, authentication,
data encryption, and more. For example, we secure
data stored on the device using native database
encryption (128 bit RSA), CAC Cards and/or FIPS
140-2 certified products from vendors such as
F-Secure, Certicom, etc. We address network security
using VPN, SSL, Client certificates and the SyncML
standard for data synchronization through HTTP
servers.

Integration
Mobile devices often require integration with
several external peripherals. Technik, Inc specializes
in Bluetooth, 802.11, Infrared and SDIO communications.
We have successfully integrated mobile printers,
bluetooth passport readers, portable digital cameras,
credit card/magnetic stripe readers, smart card
readers, Barcode readers, GPS devices etc.
Device and Software
Management
Mobile solutions introduce complexities in tracking
and managing equipment and software. These complexities
often deter several agencies from adopting mobile
