Anand Murthy

President, Technik, Inc.

Anand Murthy has over eighteen years of experience serving the Information Technology industry in a number of positions including Systems Analyst, Program Manager, and Enterprise Architect.  Before co-founding Technik, Mr. Murthy worked for Noblestar Federal Systems which was acquired by SI International. During that period Mr. Murthy was Manager, Department of Defense Solutions, responsible for a multi million dollar (over $ 36 million) contract with the Department of Defense.  On that contract he served the dual role of Project Manager and Chief Enterprise Architect.  Mr. Murthy has also served as a member of the AG-1 CPP (Department of Defense) Architectural Review Board (ARB) that helps formulate Information Technology implementation for the Civilian Human Resource Agency which provides technical and operational leadership to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Civilian Personnel Policy).  While supporting the US Army contract, Mr. Murthy assisted with numerous technology adoption and readiness programs that aided the US Army in deploying e-solutions supporting the Army mission.  The application suite developed under his leadership was selected as a front runner in the choice for a standard Staffing suite to be used across the Department of Defense.

In March 2004, Mr. Murthy co-founded Technik, Inc., a professional services company that is focused in advancing Federal IT by providing efficient information technology solutions.  As President of Technik, he is responsible for providing operational direction for the company’s Federal IT programs and leading the company’s business development initiatives.

Mr. Murthy holds a Masters in Business Administration degree with specialization in Computer Information Services from the University of Southern New Hampshire and an undergraduate degree in Business and Commerce (B.Com) from MS University, Gujarat, India.  Over the course his career, Mr. Murthy’s strong analytical and leadership skills have resulted in multiple leader recognition awards.

Satish Venkatesan, PMP

CEO, Technik, Inc.

Mr. Venkatesan holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science with over eighteen years of experience in the Information Technology industry and over twelve years of expertise in Project Management and Program Development. Over the course of his career, Mr. Venkatesan has held a variety of senior leadership roles including senior programmer, technical lead, consulting manager, project manager and program manager.

As the CEO of Technik, Inc., he is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, profitability and growth of the corporation. Leading the Process Improvement activities, he has helped Technik achieve its CMMI Maturity Level 3 (Version 1.2) certification for software development.

Prior to Technik, he served as the Program Manager of the Mobile and Wireless division at SI International and was responsible for driving the company’s mobile innovation roadmap. To enhance the efficiency of the US Customs Service’s workforce at the ports of entry, he designed innovative mobile technology solutions to collect Outbound Passenger information and contraband inspection information using handheld devices and Bluetooth passport readers. This system was featured as a case study by Microsoft Corporation and was introduced by Bill Gates, Chairman and Chief Software Architect, Microsoft Corporation at the Microsoft Mobility Conference.

Mr. Venkatesan holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Anna University.

His certifications include: Certified Project Management Professional, Sun Certified Java Programmer, Microsoft Certified Professional, Software Engineering Institute – Introduction to CMMI, Intermediate to CMMI version 1.2
