The United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Office of Acquisition (OAS) has contracted with Technik to provide IT Support Services within the Division of Corporation Finance. The Division of Corporation Finance is updating multiple technologies used in applications and databases within the division. Technik provides software development and network engineering support to support this important mission. The new standards for this development include web based programming and the use of multiple databases, including Sybase and Microsoft SQL.
Project Accomplishments
The work for the SEC is being performed under the following three (3) tasks:
IT Support Services – Technik provides the Division of Corporation Finance (CF) project support for updating multiple technologies used in applications and databases within the division. Technik assisted CF in their new standard for all development to include web based programming. The new standards for this development include web based programming and the use of multiple databases, including Sybase and Microsoft SQL. The technical scope of this effort involve complex queries involving multiple databases of different types. Activities performed include: project support in the creation, modification and upgrades of existing programs, forms, input screens and reports; database administration; software development; documentation; and briefings, training and assessments.
CorpFin Legacy Applications Maintenance – Technik provides SEC CorpFin provides staff to support software development, enhancement, maintenance, and support services for all production applications, databases, SharePoint sites, other internal websites and Business Objects reports of Division of Corporation Finance. The scope also includes support of software configuration; quality assurance; system integration; system administration; software testing and documentation; research into new technologies; reports, metrics and dashboards.
